Everything you expect and want from a country park: the freedom and beauty of outdoors with great facilities for the essential loo and toastie stop. Caters for all ages although expect paths to be rough and steep in places. Not wheelchair friendly round the park but wheelchair accessible around the main visitor centre with garden centre and cafes.
Great for families and for walking dogs. Couple of nice little cafes for a hot cuppa or cold drink. You can spend a good couple of hours here blowing the cobwebs out of your hair. Children's play area is an added bonus. To top it all...entry is free!
Great place for walks and there's a wee cafe and a small restaurant for something more substantial to eat. Toilets too but only in the visitors area. Take care as they are not opened all the time.
Great park lovely to walk and enjoy the ruins, taking pictures or the dog. Lovely cafe, shop area with good priced snacks and scones etc. Old gun placements and the Castle are stunning a very interesting trip. Gun placements were used during the war to engage enemy aircraft, they are still in tact.
Wonderful park to visit. A dog walkers paradise. Great fun for all the family. Children's play park and Cafeteria and Coffee Shop. Historic castle and duck pond. Free entry and parking of which there is loads. Be sure to visit if you are out this way.
