I left this school at the end of June teo years ago, When I moved, I kept on thinking months on end of how I missed it a bit and some of my friends. But now, seeing the dump and mess it is, Im happy I moved away from here. I dont completely hate it, please read the full review. Please, please please dont send your kids here, unless they are mentally prepared for what they are about to face.The students are just bitter, horrible, sad children. Period. Drugs are so prominent in this school that it is out of control. Its just shocking. About 70% of my class smoke, and that is a FACT. The amount of desperation of junkies and attention seekers (chavs as well) make this school a magnet of failure. This school could be a lot better.The atmosphere just feels horrible entering there. Just because its in a rich area, doesnt mean its good. And speaking of money, the school constantly wastes money on useless parts and not things that could actually make this a better place.The teachers are good and try their best in this situation (feel sorry for some) but some bad ones (which shouldnt have even passed an interview) are prominent. Those bunch just dont care, such as some in the maths department. Its just a shame that the staff couldve been selected better and had respect for us good people but I wouldnt blame them for that and the teachers are generally nice. Its a shame but this school is bad.The head department fail to recognise these problems, and are sensitive to what some people say (they deleted a few reviews). Im so sorry they have to go through all of this to be honest.The music department however is absolutely excellent. Really talented teachers working on this part and talented students - the plays are just spectacular in this school.I wouldnt speak for myself. I know teachers who happily left and quit this school. I love some of them - all the music teachers and the English ones! Miss them! The school just wants to be different from others in the area, but that just doesnt work. It felt mentally degrading just being here for 7 months. This school is a mess and sorry, it just is. If you do come here, brace yourself well.
School expelled me for absolutely no reason. Really made me tear up. When I tried coming back, I was shouted out right at the main gate by the headteacher in front of others and yes Im a S2 student btw and they threatened to call the police on me if I report them. Pathetic admin really. I miss this school, but still left confused why they were so mean to me and discriminatory. Teachers are nice. A lot of chavs.Mostly white school. But no where near as bad as Bearsden or Bishopbriggs.
My pals boy goes there. But it's the worst place do not send your kids here
